The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department is the principal law enforcement agency in Burlington County, New Jersey. The department is headed by a sheriff elected to a three-year term. The sheriff is Jean E. Stanfield. She was first elected in 2001. This section provides security to the courts and runs the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, a Warrant Unit and a Community Policing Unit.
